Microformats

We are now using microformats.org on the website to make it easier to index and for others to use the data (creative commons license). The following microformats are used:

• hAtom
• hCard
• hReview
• rel-tag
• rel-license

Twitter UI

The userinterface for twits have changed in frontpage - scroll down for more twits. Loading is done with AJAX when near bottom (similar to dzone.com/reader.google.com)

Long twits/blog posts

Quite a few new changes to AktieTwits.dk during the last two weeks time or so. It is now possible to write longer blog like twits also (up to 4000 chars) - which will be auto-shortened and posted to twitter with linkback to the full text. This twit is such a long blog-post.

Mobile adjustments

I have also been working on adjusting the website for mobile phones. Mobiles are dynamically detected and presented a mobile friendly view of the website for smaller screens. Please test and report back to me with bugs/ideas for improvement. Personally i like the mobile version quite a lot for the summer vacations - i can still follow my investments no matter where i am - and don't have to worry if there is still anything left when i return from vacation My next wish is to replace my old N95 with a new Google mobile though

Speed improvements

The code have been optimized yet another time with faster rendering times/latency as a result. Technically: now sending the output streaming bit by bit, instead of waiting for the whole template to render and then send. Thanks to Armin Ronacher of the Jinja2 development team for debugging help.

About us/blog

Our old blog have been discontinued and we are now just using a standard user profile for our blog and our long-twit functionality to write longer posts. The old blog can still be found here if anyone are interested in reading the older postings. $$
